Solana Labs has created a new tool called Solang to help make it easier for Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) developers to start using the Solana system.
Developers who know how to use the programming language Solidity can now use a new tool called Solang to create apps on the Solana network.
This announcement comes just one day after Neon EVM released a similar tool. This shows that people are working hard to make Solana and Ethereum development methods work together better.
Solang can work with Ethereum Solidity version 0. 8 and can connect Solana SPL tokens with Solidity. Additionally, it allows EVM frameworks on Solana to use the main features of the network.
Traditionally, Solana development has focused on using languages like Rust or C for writing smart contracts. However, the team emphasized that they were making it easier for more people to access through Solidity and EVM.
Solana Labs is excited to say that now you can make things on Solana using Solidity with a new tool called Solang. This tool helps connect EVM developers with the Solana system.
